WOW: Bill Gates Freaks Out on Live TV After Moves From Elon

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates criticized Elon Musk on ABC’s *The View* for shutting down USAID, warning that its closure could have severe humanitarian consequences.

Gates acknowledged Musk’s private-sector success but argued that business leaders in government often overlook the importance of existing programs. “My foundation works with USAID on nutrition and vaccines,” he said. “If this work doesn’t continue, millions could die.”

Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is shutting down USAID as part of efforts to cut government waste. This has put a spotlight on Samantha Power, the agency’s Biden-era leader, who has been praised for delivering aid to crisis zones but also criticized for mismanagement and controversial funding decisions.

Fox News reported USAID has faced scrutiny for funding research in Wuhan, initiatives abroad, and migration aid.

Musk confirmed over the weekend that USAID is being shut down, while Republicans continue to question the agency’s financial practices.
