Meghan Markle Details Moving Moment She Had With Her and Prince Harry’s Daughter Lilibet

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, shared a heartfelt moment with her daughter, Princess Lilibet, during their inaugural trip abroad after stepping back from royal responsibilities.

As Meghan navigates the complexities of motherhood, she is uncovering its more challenging aspects.

During a three-day visit to Nigeria with Prince Harry on May 10, the Duchess of Sussex took the opportunity to recount a touching exchange with their two-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet, while interacting with students at Lightway Academy.

According to People, Meghan addressed a kindergarten class, saying, “Our daughter, Lili, is much smaller than all of you.” She will soon celebrate her third birthday. A few weeks earlier, Lilibet had looked at Meghan and remarked, “Mama, I see myself in you.”

Meghan, now reflecting on her daughter’s literal interpretation, acknowledged the deeper meaning behind those words. “Yes, I do see myself in you, and you see me in you,” she thought.

While seated beside Harry in the classroom, she told the students, “As I look around this room, I see myself in all of you as well.”

The couple, who are also parents to five-year-old Prince Archie, participated in singing, dancing, and games with the children during their visit. Meghan noted, “That’s Lili’s favorite class. Perhaps it’s all the hopping around.”

Although Meghan and Harry prefer to keep their private lives away from the spotlight, they occasionally offer glimpses into their family life.

In February, the Duke of Sussex mentioned on Good Morning America, “The kids are doing great.”

He added, “They are growing up quickly, just like all children do.”

The 39-year-old continued, “Both of them have a wonderful sense of humor that brings us joy and keeps us grounded every day, just like most kids do. I am truly grateful to be a father.”
