I kicked out my brother’s family from my home after checking hidden cameras in my bedroom

A man discovered his engagement ring missing and checked his hidden cameras. His 9-year-old nephew, known for stealing, had taken the ring. “I know for a fact he’s lying about not having it because that’s the same thing he said about one of my watches he took then ended up finding it,” the man stated. The nephew’s parents, despite previous warnings, failed to correct his behavior.

Hidden Camera Revelation
The man set up a cheap spy camera in his room. When the ring went missing, footage revealed the nephew going through the drawer. Furious, the man confronted his brother and demanded the ring back. The boy claimed he left it in the guest room, but it wasn’t found. The man insisted his brother repay $4,000 for the ring or move out.
Reddit Support
After sharing his story on Reddit, users supported his actions. “I can imagine that gut-clenching feeling when an item you saved an entire year for goes missing,” a user commented. Another wrote, “NTA – they sold the ring.”
Ring Found, Family Relations Strained
The man eventually found the ring in the guest room sink and proposed to his fiancée, who loved it. Despite finding the ring, he refused to let his brother’s family move back in. “The fact that the kid refused to tell you where it was and his parents refused to make him means you are absolutely in the right,” a Redditor stated.
